The fungus, Candida albicans, is a constituent of normal gut flora found in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. There are more than 20 types of Candida and it is estimated that 80% of the human population lives with Candida albicans without any harmful effects.
Candida infections can affect ANYONE, at any time. An overgrowth of the fungus is known as Candidiasis.
Types of Candidiasis:
